Designer and Book Favorites Designers and their books have inspired me for years. Charles Faudree This amazing man was a friend to so many and an amazing designer. Everything he ever did was perfection. My favorite time and time again. Home Projects Kitchen DIY Faux bois walls - SW Alabaster white and SW Accessible Beige Tools used include wood grain kit and bookshelf Grey paint is a custom color made to match the cabinets Gold Paint Every space needs a touch of gold. Brass, florentine or painted pieces....Click links below to see my favorite golds. Spray Paint - Rustoleum bright coat metallic gold. Gold leaf, brush paint - Liquid leaf - classic gold Rub and buff - Antique gold Ikea Ottoman Redo I love IKEA sofas and chairs. This ottoman was purchased for about $150 and I recovered it with a classic ticking fabric . The top is removable for storage so it made recovering it so easy. I mostly used my stapler, adhering the fabric to the top portion. I then stitched some piping and then also stapled it to the top portion. The skirt was made on a sewing machine and also stapled onto the edges. Frame TV - diy frame The Samsung Frame Tv is an amazing invention and I love our 43 inch set. It fits snug against the wall and allows display of beautiful artwork and a matte screen with no glare makes the art look like the real thing. The frames for these are very expensive but I knew I wanted one for a finished look. Instead of purchasing one made for the tv, I measured and ordered a Plein Air Crown Gold Leaf Frame Outside 42 1/8" x 26 1/8 " Opening 37"x 21" and adhered to the tv with velcro . I used a total of 12 strips. 3 on each side.
